what are the new fall colors for women's clothing?

I'd like to buy a new wardrobe. Im 60 years old but have a very young attitude.
I thought all of you younger contributors would know the latest fashion statements, and what you would want your mother to wear....not kids clothing....

Well, I am 53, but a fashionista and even young women compliment my clothing. I have noticed a return to styles and colors of the 1970's. Everywhere I see clothes that remind me of those I wore on campus in the early 1970's. Teal, burgundy, pumpkin...those are big colors for fall. And black/grey/brown are ALWAYS in. Out went the pinks and blues of the past. There are swingy tops, gorgeous leather satchels, some really nice things. Look at the magazines and wander through the malls and you will see the trends.

Well, I am by no means a fashion expert, but I would say that you couldn't go wrong with deep, rich colors. Burgundy, eggplant purple, royal blue, hunter green, and chocolate brown would all be very fall-appropriate. I've been noticed a lot of styles being recycled from the 60's and the 80's (especially in accessories), including chunky plastic jewelry, A-line trapeze dresses, and lots of layering. I think that everyone, but especially more mature women, looks wonderful in simple styles, maybe a basic skirt in a neutral color with a colorful printed top and delicate accessories. Have fun shopping!

ive been looking at magazines, and the new colours for fall are..*drumroll please*... magenta/pink, orange, and grey !! so, since you are 60, dont go too grazy and act like a teen, you gotta remember that you are more grown up then us. but, you can still look hip ! some old ladies wear those old grannie suits and shoes, stay away from those. dont go with alot offunky prints, some pinks and purples and blues are good colours. and some cool jeans. a bitta makeup, eyeliner ;) pink lipgloss, no lipstick, that makes you look too old ladyish also, but if there is a lipstick colour you like, apply clear lipgloss over top of that colour to make it a gloss. a coral pink would also be cool. some chunky beads .. if you still have any cool jewelery from back when you were a teen, some of that would be awsome too ! i hope i helped you ! xoxo, megg <3

Jewel tones seem to be really hot. A dark teal, burgundy, purple, chocolate brown, emerald, and deep orange.

Wear a *little* bit of sparkle or shine. Think ala Madonna '85.

Wide leg pants if you're tall. Bootcut if you're short.

Layered looks.

Everything is tailored in style or a babydoll fit with a sash/belt.

Large bracelets.

I think some 60 years old still look good. You should always wear something that makes you look younger, not too younger like teens. Don't wear mini skirt or tu tu or anything overboard. To me, colors for seasons are so out long time ago. Today, you can wear anything, and any styles long if it looks good on you. Go for comfortable.
