The first answer is six. But then once those cigarettes are smoked, you are left with six more butts. You can make one more cigarette out of these, leaving you with one butt.

From 36 butts you could make 6 cigarettes but I think you could smoke a total of 7 because after smoking the 6 will leave another 6 butts which could be rolled again into 1 more standard sized cigarrete.

Well, if you mean that 6 standard butts can make one standard cig., then 36 butts divided by the 6 butts needed to make a whole one, 36/6=6, but don't take my word for it. I'm really not sure about this one.
