can someone tell me what this means. I went to my SENT items and saw the list of people I had emailed. To the left of one name was a green arrow. What does that indicate and is there any way of knowing when your sent items have been read? Thanks!

place your mouse pointer on the green arrow it will tell you what it means .its not possible to know whether your recipent has read your message unless by reply to that message ..

green arrow basically means that the mail that you sent was a reply or forward to some mail.
No way is the answer for the other half.

It indicates a delivery reciept (i.e informed the sender you opened/received the email).

You can set up an option to request a read receipt.
