Mac OS X and FAT32?

I use mac os x a lot and I have an external hard drive that is partitioned ( one partition with HFS+ and the other with FAT32 ) so that I can use it on windows pcs at friends house's if they require assistance.

My question is this

Is it possible to use mac os x to defrag the data that is on the FAT32 partition or would I need to attach it to a windows OS to allow me to defrag it ?

I am aware that I do not need to defrag the HFS+ partition as mac os deals with that partition in its own way so please dont tell me something I already know.

Yes, I guess... attach the hard drive on your mac then run Disk Utility located at Finder > Applications > Utilities > Utility Disk. Or if you have Windows installed on your Mac, attach your hard drive then run Disk Derfragmenter.
