Hi...go to the paint department at Lowes (or home Depot) and get "adhesive remover" pour it on your floor let it set for about 15 monute...what it's doing is re-activating the glue so you can just scrape it off...have a garbage nearby to be able to srca[e it up and just dump it in there...it gets kind of gooey...for the lack of a better word....anyways, it is going to smell knind of harsh so open some windows and have at it....Oh, also in the flooring department there is and actual "adhesive remover" we recommend for taking up vinyl floors....same concept, different product....good Luck....

okay, so maybe this is the hard way, but my husband and I just used water and lots of labor. We wet a section of the floor by pouring enough water on it to puddle. Then we used the scrapers to help pull up the glue as it was dissolving in the water....then...we used scrub brushes to get the rest of it off. Then we used a shop vac to clean up all of the water. (we started with towels and then gave in and bought a cheap shop vac for $50 at walmart) It actually worked beautifully, but it was alot of labor and back and knee pain too. I believe you could also use (i think this is what it is called) Goo gone or something like that, which we also tried and it did work, but it smelled really bad. Stunk up the whole house and we only tested a spot the size of a small dinner plate.

I woulkd get a heat gun and get the glue hot then u should be able to scrap it right up. If not go rent a buffer and get fine grit sand papper on it and sand it off.

We had to scrape it and then sand the rest off. It's a big pain in the behind, but we haven't found any other way to do it.

Borrow a paint stripping gun from a friend, or buy one (£25) this will soften the old adhesive, and it can be scraped off .
