Did Fox edit or censor the Emmy Awards?

During Sally Field's speech the camera cut to a shot of the globe and there was no sound. This happened during other points during the show. Did anyone notice this? Did they edit her speech or was it a technical problem?

Yes, Sally Field was censored for saying "Goddamn War" and the rest of her speech was cut.

Katherine Heigl was censored as well.

I think Fox did everything they could to win the bid to air the Emmys in the first place, just so they could censor any anti-war sentiment that was sure to be displayed on the show. JMHO.

Yeah I noticed that they did try to add a "delay" several times during the show for editing purposes. probably had to do with the fact that it was pretty obvious Katherine Heigl said "sh!t" which was pretty funny.

because the FCC have made rules against indecent broadcasts like uttering curse words live. she used the word G-_d__. if she didn't say that, she wouldn't be censored. if she wasn't muted, fox will be slapped with a hefty fine regardless of their political affiliation.
