How many times a week do you mop your kitchen floor?

I am feeling like I am either mopping it too much a week, or too little.
Sometimes it will be clean, but if I run a kitchen wipe over the floor...the wipe is still black like there is hidden dirt. I scrub on my hands and knees, and still don't get a wipe to come up clean.
Am I taking the "white glove" test too seriously?

once upon a time I had 3 toddlers. I mopped the kitchen 6 times a day. It was totally necessary to do it or stick to the floor!!

Now I am a grandmother and mop the kitchen once a month. Nobody is ever in there except at Christmas.

My grandmother alway said you can be too clean and you have to eat a peck of dirt in your lifetime....I'm not sure exactly but I think you can be too clean, after all our immune system needs something to react to...but back to the kitchen floor. You don't mention whether it's lino or tile or slate. With our slate floor we had to totally strip it (on our hands and knees and a stiff brush with stripper), then re seal it, whoever put black slate on a kitchen floor (with white countertops) needs to be shot. I think tile and lino are much easier to keep, but it depends on the traffic flow! If you have a heavy traffic area, from front door in, those areas as well as the area where the toaster and sink are are going to take a beating. You could try a small, washable mat in front of the sink. I find I sweep with a good quality microfiber dry mop, like a Norwex one, 2 to 3 times a week, that will pick up most everything, then I use their wet mop to go over it quickly, it requires very little effort and is the best system on the market. Quite honestly once I found microfiber, everything else is seldom used. Now sit back with a good cup of tea, a friend and some nice cookies and relax, and put away the wipes, tables are for eating not floors.

i take advantage of a steam mop on mine and that i swear by it! I fairly have allergies so I prefer to bypass chemical-unfastened the place obtainable, and the steam mop cleans effectively, and the warmth sterilises the floor, all chemical unfastened, and the only value (different than the orginal payout for the device) is the electrical energy and the water - i do no longer could save procuring floor cleanser or bleach etc. And my first advance into 11 months whilst she made her first step, yet approximately 13 months whilst she advance into gentle walking. my 2d is barely 6 months so nonetheless too youthful!

IT's best to mop it once a day or once a week, but if you are too tired or busy, every two weeks is still okay if you wear slippers in the kitchen.

Usually 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes more. I sweep every day though.
