AMD Turion question?

I have an hp pavillion dv6000 with an amd turion 64x2. I acquired a copy of windows xp 64 pro and was curious if i could load it on the laptop. Also, is the 64x2 two 32 bit processors functioning together as a 64 bit, or is it actually two 64 bit cores on one chip? im just curious if i could run the xp 64 pro on the laptop.
Thanks!

Yes, XP 64 will run on your system, just be careful, Ol' Gates made it so if you install an OS that has been installed before (and registered) on a different machine, it will not let you proceed... so, make sure it is a Fresh "Copy" that you are talking about. Also, you do have 2 64 bit processors in your machine. If you go to the HP site and put in your actual model, not just dv6000 (that is the series), like dv6210us or whatever it is, it will give you all the info on your unit.

AMD Athlon64 is principally for computers. AMD Turion is for laptops. Turion X2 could be much greater useful than Intel's cellular center Duo (32bit in common terms Yonah2). yet Intel's cellular Core2 Duo (Conroe) is ultimate. take be conscious that center Duo and Core2 Duo are very diverse.

Yes you can. The Turion X2 is a 64-bit capable processor.
Also, the Turion X2 has two cores on one processor.
