OK, not sure on my condition...but starting to get curious on the treatment plan now. Doc says I am dangerously low in Vitamin A and B12. Also, my glands are too tired to work, and my thyroid has given up. My temperature is just under 2 whole points of 98.6 degrees, my skin has seen better days. And my hair is falling out in large masses daily. I am only 30, and just the way he talks makes me feel like I am 60! Should I be worried? I am on thyroid pills, 2 sleep aids, anxiety meds, and an anti-depressant. Plus Vitamin A and B12 supplements. Does this make sense to anyone? I appreciate your serious replies.

Human bodies are so complicated to phantom.
Sounds to me like he is saying you are malnutrioned, and your organs (thyroid) has failed, its not uncommon. I don't know if you are, but you sound like a very busy/stressed out person, relax!! and enjoy life sometimes.
vitaims are a vital source of nutrients for our bodies, hair loss and sketchy skin is common in malnutrition. Keep taking your pills regligiously, if you don't see ur hair falling out less, and your skin improving, try and get a complete blood test done and always always always get a second opnion. So don't be worried just yet, wait a few weeks.
Also if you already dont, eat properly, take a MULTI-vitamin such as centrum, and exercise (even walking is good exercise). Hope you feel a lot better soon, it sucks when you can't find out whats wrong.
Sounds like the doctor is on the right track as far as the vitamins go, but is he doing follow up blood work to make sure ur on the right dosage of the thyroid medication ? And it seems ur on a great deal of tranquilizers,i.e. anxiety, anti-depressant and 2 sleeping aids, topped off by hypothyroidism, it`s a wonder u can function during the day at all. Maybe u should review ur medications with ur doctor. A complete blood work up can tell a doctor a great deal about ur condition, when have u last had that done ?
You like you have a serious health problems. Best things for you to get out get yourself to excerise and eat right. Try cut down sugar as much you can. Sugar are not good to anyones. Bcause sugar make you tired easily. That only thing I gave you advice. This might be helpful.
You seem smart enough to understand what your doctor is telling you. So it seems like either you're not asking questions or more likely he isn't explaining it clearly. Is there somebody else that you can see so that you can get a clearer explanation? Unless he is some genius you could probably see somebody who can explain things better and reassure you. I don't know about your insurance; if you have it but if you have a question about how to switch doctors you could ask that too.
It sounds like you have some serious health problems. Perhaps emotional & health issues. Be careful, get out and exercise, eat healthy and follow the Dr's orders
