After the season finale, I'm annoyed that we'll have a 9 month or longer wait for new episodes. Does anyone know why the cable networks build such long periods between seasons?
I'm likely to forget what interested me about this show by the time it returns.
And its same with other shows like "Monk" and "Battlestar Galeactica"

They do it for a couple of reasons. In the case of USA, they like counterprogramming. When the networks all have summer reruns, they have Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, The Dead Zone, and The 4400 all starting new episodes. That equates to more buzz and probably more viewers.
Another reason that there is such a long wait between seasons is that cable shows tend to go for quality over quantity. Thus they will have 13 really good episodes rather than 13 good episodes, 1 clip show, 4 mediocre episodes, 2 horrific episodes, and 2 filler episodes, like a network show might do. They get to spend more time in preparation to make sure that the shows are good.
I know that Battlestar Galactica has little tricks to keep people informed/intrigued. They are planning on running mini-episodes throughout the fall and they usually do a recap show before the season starts. Hopefully Burn Notice does that. (Or, I'll probably end up buying the DVDs and will be able to rewatch the episodes. *grin*)
I agree that it sucks to wait, though. I really want to know what happened to Michael and why he was burned! (Of course, I know that I will now be super busy watching all of my "regular" shows now that the fall season has started, so it won't be in the forefront of my mind in a week or two.)
I expect that it will be back sooner then that. I am with you about the waiting, but that is what a good show is about. You know it is good when you cant wait till you see the next episode.
I am curious about how BN ended. What will happen next? Were did Fee and Sam end up and Mikey, Gee questions and questions from me!
What was your favorite character? I love the show the comedy was so good. Although Fee was my favorite, I do see myself in her. LOL!
