Secret warplane "Aurora"?

I've been hearing stories about a new "black project" military craft that will supposedly fast enough to cross the Atlantic ocean in a half hour.

But the rumors, magazine articles, and televison speculations have been going on for years...

Does anyone have any links to more information, including any kind of verification of whether the project really exists?

Remember-- The stealth planes were well kept secrets and denied by the government up until the day we used them in war.

Actually, there was a plastic model "stealth" aircraft in Wal-Mart stores months before the project was ever acknowledged. It may NOT have been exact, and may not have carried the proper designation. It DID look a lot like the Stealth plane that eventually came out. To me that was astounding-- not something to be dismissed because the "F-" number wasn't right or somesuch...

It was proof that some details leaked before the plane was acknowledged. That's all I am looking for here.

Of course, if the Aurora was in service it would be secret. Why give potential enemies information about our equipment?

That does not mean that the Aurora exists. There were stories about stealth planes long before the F-117 came into public view. Remember the F-19? That was what journalist claimed the stealth plane called designated; it was even part of the Tom Clancy novel "Red Storm Rising". But the F-19 never existed beyond toys and model kits.

BTW. The XB-70 Valkerie prototype that crashed had collided with a F-104 chase plane, not a F-4.

There has been much speculation about 'Aurora' since it showed up as a line item in a military budget and then suddenly disappeared.
By definition a 'Black Project' is so top secret that even telling a family member of its existence is good for a loooooooong stretch in Federal Prison, so speculation is likely to be all you see until the project is uncloaked by the military.

I have seen some speculation related to this project, too. it was even one of the fun stuff in an old simluation, USNF, or its follower.
Anyway I think the story is based on the cancelled Valkirie supersonic bomber. the prototype of the Valkirie collided in the mid air on an airshow, with I think F4 Phantom and the project was terminated then.

The Aurora is a four engine prop driven aircraft that has been used by Canada for decades, it is now in the early stages of being retired from service
