"Clinching" a division, means no matter how bad a team plays then forth, they make the playoffs.

In other words, all the other teams are mathmetically eliminated, and cant win the division.

Sox in the series again...?Ill give it 40/60 odds.

MVP for the NL is D Wright,
MVP For the AL(And i hate him as much as the next guy,but it should be) Roger Clemens.

It means a team is guaranteed to the playoffs and a division title. Also the Indians are the only team of now to have clinched there division, the Red Sox just clinched a spot in the playoffs by either the wildcard or the division.
AL:A-Rod
NL:Prince Fielder

It means that it is not possible for a team to come back and win the division because they are too far back and thier are not enough games left for them to win it.

AL : Alex Rodriguez

NL : Prince Fielder

P.S. The Red Sox didnt clinch the East yet sweethart. The Yankees a 1.5 games back.

I won't explain clinching to you since it has already been explained but, the Red Sox have just made it to the playoffs, not the world series.

Edit: Wow how in the world did I get two thumbs down for telling the truth? I hate to break it to anybody who doesn't agree with me that the Red Sox aren't at the World Series yet (like she claimed) but it's the truth. :)
