Does aluminum foil emit any harmful gases/vapors when in contact with fire?

Aluminum is coated with aluminum oxide by natural oxidation.
Theoretically when heated this cannot decompse to give any gas besides oxygen.
However I am not sure if it can burn to release carbon monoxide - but I very much doubt this....Show more
