In your opinion, who should be permitted to vote in elections in the USA?

Why do you feel the way you do?

the MINIMUM requirement should be every LEGAL citizen of the US who can produce two forms of identification.....sometimes I toy with the thoughts of a civil exam for voters...I hate the thought of some mindless dope that has no idea what is going on, seeing a NY times slanted article the day of election and going in and canceling out my informed vote.......now wouldn't THAT tick off the libs...they don't even want any form of ID to vote....it would get in the way of all those dead voters who vote dem every year....

People who can use a income tax return as a ID. People who do not recieve welfare or handouts.

I feel this way because it will stop "purchased votes". Those votes a dozen donuts and a ride to the election building (which includes a 3 minutes political education) gets.

Or,
how about anyone who owns a firearm

US Citizens over the age of 18. It is my understanding that no other franchise has ever been given. Felony who have served their time are usually allowed by their states to vote, and should be since the concept is that they have served their sentence. What may I ask is the point of this question? No one to my knowledge has considered lowering the voting age or given the right to vote to non-citizens?

The system, although flawed, is fine.

Legal citizens who have not been convicted of any felony and are registered to vote at one address should be given one vote.

Before identities could be stolen, I would have argued against some form of voter verification, but in light of this new circumstance, as well as the fraud some are willing to commit (such as those caught in Ohio), maybe it should be considered.

Citizens. And only once per election. Without free cigarettes and wine. And smart enough to operate the voting machines.
