According to Northern Illlinois University FAQ page you could teach legally in the state of Illinois in a non-public and/or charter school. Also you could become a substitute in some cases without a certificate. For more information go to the website listed below.......

Maybe. I live in Illinois and I know many a teacher that was at charter and private schools. They are cracking down on that hardcore. If you do get a position, then it will probably be if you are teaching with some sort of temporary certificate while being enrolled in some sort of alternative certification program. I know in Chicago Public Schools now you can't even substitute without a teaching certificate.
You will have to check on the junior colleges though...I think that all you need for those are masters in a specific content area.

No, certification is needed. Even private colleges will require certification in virtually all circumstances. you're proper... that's a soreness in Illinois to get that instructor certification, although that's a soreness in the different states as properly. yet another concept for you: you will get a provisional replace instructor certification with little subject in Illinois. touch your close by close by workplace of preparation and that they'd assist you.
