Humanity's purpose is to think critically about its situation. It's hard and uncomfortable and the temptation is strong to avoid it at all costs, but it can be done if people can be convinced that it is in their best interests. So far, they've always managed to wake up in time. But the media are becoming very powerful. Doubt and suspicion are characterized as treason. Hopefully such tactics will overreach themselves and become obvious while there is still time to act.

we already exceed 6.5 BILLION people and for some reason we keep trying to make more??
we are hardly an endangered species yet we keep trying to find ways to have more kids and live longer...
5 Billion people is a sustainable level of population (as determined by the United Nations) - many scientists actually would like to see only 500 Million people on the planet

my worst fear at the minute is ......going into work some sunday night and having to work with someone awful for 12 hour shift because my bestest bestest friend (haha) has decided to take time off work and pretend to be sick so she can have fun on yahoo answers..........
