I dont know what you mean by jargon but, here are some terms that you will hear on a consistent basis,
Clear, Drop, Smash (this is a repetitive excercise that works on a large part of the overall game)
Offensive Clear (fast deep drive)
Drives
Flick Serve
Slice.
