Was Neil Diamond a pervert for writing the song "Sweet Caroline" after viewing a picture of Caroline Kennedy?
As a child? He recently admitted he saw a picture of a young Caroline Kennedy and came up with his big hit. Isn't it creepy for an older Diamond to be looking at a picture of a little girl (Caroline Kennedy) and thinking of love with her?

Yeah, I read that and I actually had to read the song lyrics...seems a little odd to me. Not to mention in the article, Diamond said that he had never told anyone else before...as though he were ashamed. It seems like he may have felt guilty.
No I don't think he had lustful thoughts about the child. He thought she was adorable and wrote a song. That song has been out for ages you know. It wasn't just written. He admitted he was inspired by her to write the song. It says no where he wanted her personally in a lustful way.
I bet he never said anything before now because he knew what kind of reaction it would start up. I guess he's a real good judge of people.
This world is sick. Why does everything have to have a sexual or perverted connotation nowadays?
Just reread an article on this. It was years down the line after seeing this picture that he sat down and wrote the song.
as an american i can truly say we all have grown up loving and adoring the kennedys.Sure Mrs Kennedy didnt do the wonderful work Princess Diana has done with efforts around the country but they are still considered(kennedys)american royality...do you not agree?they have had their share of tragedy so it honestly makes them look more real.. but to anser your question No i think he has sung that song wonderfully and we all loved the kennedy kids..
