not really, but dog food companys do not have the same safety and cleanness that people food compans have.

Probably not. The high quality foods are made with human food grade ingredients, so I wouldn't worry much about them. The cheap foods are made with some pretty cheesy ingredients, but one or two wouldn't hurt.
But this may an opportunity to check out the ingredients in the dog food you're using, and if you wouldn't let your child have them, maybe reconsider giving that to the dog too?

Good dog food is fine for anyone to consume, bad dog food is not! That is why I use Blue Buffalo dog food! It is human grade with limited suppliers (no ingredients from China!) and I know that my dogs are getting the best possible nutrition to live long and healthy lives. The food smells good even to my palate!

It's not bad for the kids. I had a friend that used to eat dog biscuits. You might not want your kid eating it though because some dog food has liver and heart in it, as well as other things of that nature.

It tastes a lot like eating glue. And yeah, I have done both. The things you do during drunken games of truth or dare.. However, despite the bad taste, it's no worse for your kid than any of the junk food you see on the grocery store shelves. He'll most likely grow out of it.
