building an environmentally home.?

Our home is over 100 years old, is very drafty, and has settled so that the floor is not even close to being level. Is there a website that I could go to that would give environmentally friendly building tips?

I don't personally know what tips to give you, but I'l give you some sites I found. Also, I work at a lumber place and we can special order "green doors and windows" and much more so you might want to start off by asking around your local lumber stores.

Check out the United States Green Building Coincil website, www.usgbc.org.

When speaking with potential contractors or architects, ask them if they are LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited.
