An effective way to get what I like to refer to a "the big hunks" out of a dog's fur is by using coarse corn meal (not corn starch people). Sprinkle it liberally and rub it into the fur and then simply brush it out. Obviously not as thorough as a bath but inexpensive and harmless to the doggy.

As for you dinks who take the term dry clean to mean what you do to your party dress, expand your vocabulary for pits sake.

Call the vet and ask if ther is a powder type of shampoo that you leave on the dog and just need to brush it out.

They have dry powder dog cleaner at most pet stores. This only works temporarily. You have to wash your dog at some point.

Like..you dont' want to give your dog a bath?

They sell these little wet wipe thingys that I use on my cats...they're still wet, but it's easier than trying to bathe a cat.

They make them for dogs too.

They do make a "dry" shampoo for dogs. You can find it at most pet supply stores.
