Green Terror and a Snail?

I don't know much about snails but I wanted to know if a Green Terror would tolerate one and if having one would even be worth while.

My set up is 30 gallons, my Green Terror is the only occupant and he is rather young being about 3.5 inches. I have no plans to add another fish, this is purely about a snail(s).

This is incredibly broad btw, so if you have specific snails to recommend then please do so. Thanks in advance.

On a larger tank:

As of now I feel 30 gallons is big enough, he's only 3.5 inches and doesn't grow like an Oscar (I'm careful not to over feed).

I have a 50 gallon tank in waiting for him. He will never be housed with another fish as I just don't want him to have the stress.

Your answer was pretty much what I wanted, thank you.

It won't actively hunt the snail for food, but it will definitely play with it. Green Terrors (at nearly 10 inches), will very soon be tired of a 30 gallon tank, and with nothing else to do, it may play hide-and-seek with the snail, which is (as you may guess) stressful for the snail. There is a chance it would try to eat the snail, but it's pretty unlikely. A Mystery or Apple Snail would be a good choice, as they get quite large and will not reproduce rapidly.

I know the question was solely about the snail, but a 30 gallon tank is too small for a fully grown Green Terror... Unless you have a grow out tank for it, I wouldn't even bother.

EDIT: That is good to hear. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you do. :~)
