I would agree with previous answer...
It is absolutely clear that US economic model is a failure.
Poor, beggars and social problems are OUT of control.
It seems many people have started moving out of US... people can't afford health insurance, child care... minimum salary isn't even enough to put a good loaf of bread on table.
More and more people are afraid of getting sick... one sick day, you lose job, HI, and then maybe everything you have.
In US you have to "buy" what are basic human rights in other western countries. And they cost more than what 80% of people in US can afford.
Cheap goods is no good when you can't pay for even basic social care. Disgrace for supposedly richest country.
In SF, stop in Market Street... beggars everywhere, poverty
beyond imaginable. addicts. This looks more like third world than "rich" country.

Poor merely means that your income or overall assets and wealth is on the bottom end of the economy... often earning only enough for basic survival, or perhaps surviving only due to government social programs. ie. Welfare or Disability...
Beggers would be people with no income, who merely rely on others to support them. You can be poor and a begger. In fact, this is the most likely scenario. It is entirely possible for a begger to bring in more money than someone who works for a living though. Life's not fair.
