Will anyone ever win the Triple Crown in hitting again?
The last to win it was Yaz in 1967, 40 years ago. Given the drought since the award was won the last time, do you ever think we will see someone win it again, and who could it be? To add further speculation, despite Yaz winning it in 1967, the last true Major League Triple Crown winner (different definition from just Triple Crown) was Mantle in 1956, who led in all three categories in both leagues.

Bernardo --- I like the A-Rod pick but not sure about David Ortiz. He is starting to have major issues with his knees and legs in general. I respect the big guy, but he needs to shed a few pounds and work on staying in shape. I think that it would be worthy of note, however, if a DH were to win it. Gave you a Thumb's Up anyway for the thought process.

It's highly unlikely. Teams travel more. There are no more double headers per say. Pitchers hardly ever go the distance. With middle relief, setup and closers, all throwing with fresh arms during the games, the hitter is at a gross disadvantage.
It would take a very special ball player to do it. Someone with Mickey Mantle type talent.
I think someone will, it's a pretty offense oriented game today, even now that the steroid era is "over". I think Arod could get locked in and have a great year batting average-wise and pull it off. Based on last year it looks like Holladay could have the talent to do so. Also I have always thought that Miguel Cabrera, Pujols and Vlad Guerrero could do it. How about Ryan Braun? I know nothin about him, but he had a monster rookie year. Based on age and talent (and now lineup protection) I'd say Cabrera has the best shot.
hahah yeah man look every1 has great years some unbielevable whether they lucky o not like look at tom brady some 1 eventually dont worry bout that but take yo mind off arod he gets too incosistent wen he do bad pujols yeah maybe cause he can bat 340 when he hittin 40 homers ryan howard maybe but he get like arod can be incosistent wit average, but ill tell you who mite if they continue to dominate like dey are..... miguel cabrera b/c he averages 30 homers a year and he only 24 and he gettin better it everything and even tho he a leadoff, he can be a real power threat as well in number 3 spot..... hanley ramirez he is amazin and can definitly come in the top 3 and possibly win it if he becomes more consistent look for him to have 36-42 homers wit a 337 average if he stays healthy and over 100 rbis if he bats 3rd also soriano if hes healthy n consistent
Many possibilities, but it will involve luck, an injury-free season, and a dangerous bat behind or in front to make pitchers pitch to the batter. The most likely (based on past performance) persons who might achieve the triple crown in batting might be: Albert Pujols (my personal favorite) Alex Rodriguez David Ortiz Vladimir Guerrero Matt Holliday
