Never had Coffee Bean so I'm going to go with Starbucks. I personally Caribou Coffee over Starbucks though....

Having worked at both cafes, I would say Coffee Bean. If there's one thing for certain, Starbucks is not as clean. Also, they are not as extensive in the training of their baristas. Either way, unless you are drinking Ethiopian coffee ceremony, it is very rare either Starbucks or Coffee Bean is serving fresh roasted beans. That is why they are always sour and make one naseous.
