My Daughter is making Sweat Pants with her 2 friends for hockey...?

They go to the  boys hockey games regularily, and their making shirts and sweats to support the boys. Their shirts say Minneapolis East Hockey, and on the back it says MEH boys[with their numbers]. She's unsure what to write/on the sweats though, because of course they cannot be plain. Keep in mind the pants are black and the paint she's using to do it is White&Red. So if you have any ideas...3 teenage girls, Minneapolis Boys Hockey. She'd much appreciate it.

Have something on the leg of the pants. 
Either on the side or on the front. 
The Numbers of the players on the upper part of the pants would be cute while " MEH" could be running down the other leg. 
I did that once for the football games and I loved how they came out! 

(Oh and nothing on the butt area since that's really tacky nowadays)

You can buy iron on letter, you could try that or fabric pait, or if you know how embroidery!!
