You must first create a Yahoo! Profile?

Why does Yahoo Groups keep asking me to create a profile and not let me into my groups when I already have a profile?

when I enter my old profile it tells me that that name has been taken and that I need to enter a unique name... Know kidding it's taken... I'm the one that took it... so wy can't i use it? So I created a new profile and connected all my Yahoo Groups to the new profile and everything is fine... but I still have no idea why I couldn't use my original Profile...

allowing e-mails to that ID makes no difference- many have a yahoo ID, but never have Yahoo mail

does that particular group have you as an e-mail member only? maybe you need to link the profile to your membership

Try again.
You have to enable emails to that link.

So what you do, where it says "create profile" , click to see if you can enter the profile you have.

One must have a Yahoo profile to link a yahoo group.
