How much does an individual get for claiming a child during tax season?
I'm not lying I have 2 kids, a 7 yr old and 4 yr old. I currently receive child support, but not for long because hes in jail.

Depends on how much you make and if you actually have the kid or if you are just lying. They find out if you lie.

Not nearly enough info to tell. It can be anywhere from zero up to a few thousand dollars. Did you work and have income other than the child support? If not, it'll be zero. If you had income from a job, will be more, maybe much more depending on how much you made. But without that info, no way to tell.

The personal exemption is worth $3,400. For children under the age of 17, they can also get you the child tax credit of $1,000 per child.

Depending on your income level, you might qualify for a Federal Earned Income credit for the children which varies according to income.
