Your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) is about 1,500 calories a day. So, eating 1,500 a day with zero exercise will keep you at 162. Eating less, or eating the same with exercise, and you will lose weight.

And goal weight has nothing to do with it. She asked how many calories does she need to consume to lose weight. Whether she wants to be 100 or 120, it doesn't matter. <1,500 a day, including exercise.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

All you need to do is to eat about 500 to 1000 calories less a day than you burn. The first thing to do is to have a professional find your true resting MBR that is how much calories you need per day to maintain. Than subtract 500 calories from this total to get your non-workout day calorie total. Add your loss from exercising to this number to get how many you need when you work out. Remember that if you eat too few calories you can gain weight same as eating too many.
