To religious manuals, scriptures or to the country's Constitution and laws?
Well, the majority believes that they represent the ultimate 'truth and realities' and therefore cannot be modified or neglected. It's only the wise minority who knows that whatever was written centuries or millenia ago cannot be the full reality anymore as times, conditions, attitudes, etc have changed drastically since then. The young idolize advertisements and celebrities, and the media is a wild animal that dramatises and exaggerates. The world is full of imagination and illusion, not only for most teenagers but also some adults alike, to spend time, money and attention, as if nothing else in the world matters for a fun and meaningful existence.
