That's a dumb question..........
how can you read your messages if you're not logged in???

Now, you could however read your comments. By being on someone else's page (Someone else would have to logg in tho.) that has you as a friend and just clicking on to your profile without YOU having to logg into it.
Or, if you know your url then just copy it at the top without having to logg into myspace and then, you will be able to see your comments. but you wont be able to read your messages on the inbox.

If you have email alerts set up, you can KNOW when you have a new email, however it will send you to the login page to view the message when you go to read it.

No. You can't do that. Otherwise, everybody would be reading your messages.
You can enable your browser to automatically log you in when you visit myspace.com
I have my cell phone set to log me in every time I visit the site through my cell phone. ;)
