Is anyone else having "Rock-related" technical glitches with Answers?

I could ask this in the Answers section, but I don't want to. :)

Sometimes when I click on links I'm getting blank screens, screens that won't completely load and look really bizarre, and even a few pages that said that I was blocked and I didn't have access to it. I noticed this yesterday too. Is anyone else dealing with this stuff, or is it just me?

And for a music-related question...what is your favorite site to download music from, if you are the downloading type?

I'm having some issues too, every now and then when I click on a page it tells me that I'm 'forbidden' to go there, haha. It loads the page after I click "Refresh" though.

I usually use iTunes, but for the hard to find songs/albums that aren't on there I go with Ares or BitTorrent.

Happy Tuesday Sookie!

No, hmmm. Everything seems fine here technical wise.
edit: I'm thinking maybe yesterday, I noticed some of the avatars wouldn't load when I went into a question, but today, everything has gone back to normal :)

But as for your question, I like to get a lot of my music from Yahoo! Music; you'd be amazed how many obscure (indie) and popular bands you'll find. The recommendations are what I love the most about this music downloading search engine. You key in the name of a band, and it can actually nail at least five other band recommendations of the same genre (I've learned about so many new bands this way, too). The only downside is that they are wmv files; you'll have to go out of your way to convert these to iPod-friendly mp3s. It's still worth it.

edit: I wonder if the Yahoo! layoffs have anything to do with the service glitches ... its trouble-shooting department might be on strike, or short-staffed right now...

You're not alone. When I hit my profile, sometimes the page fails to load or, like you said, says forbidden access. The bizarre screens where everything lines up on the left hand side of the screen minus the graphics, seen that too. Can't tell you why it's happening. Might be one those Yahoo glitches that their techs are no longer fixing for all I know. They've done such a wonderful job with 360, nothing surprises me anymore.

I'm a fan of Bearshare Pro, being one of those downloading types. Yes, I actually paid for the service, so the RIAA doesn't need to install those hidden cameras in my crib.

Sarah - Old Rasputin is saying much more than "drat", that's the clean version!

Hey Sookie.

Yea I've been having the same problems and they have started yesterday as well. I will go to click on a question and a blank screen will come up. The same problem is occuring when I try creating my own question, or anything else within
Y!A for that matter.

I hope the problem gets fixed soon, it's rather annoying.

I'm used to annoying situations on Y!A though, I STILL to this day can't change my avatar to anything other than a cheesy cartoon face. **Sigh**

And to answer your question, I'm not much of the downloading type. From time to time I will download a music video from iTunes, however.

I am experiencing all sorts of problems with ALL of Yahoo! on the desktops at work. Many of the graphics are blocked or somehow fail to low. Some of the pages remind me of DOS (that's an old school operating system). However, I am not having any problems on my laptop (perhaps since it is new and loaded with the latest $hit, including Vista)

I download primarily on I-tunes. When I can't find what I want that way, I go on the websites of bands I listen to and I often find downloadable content.
