I got a flat tire, it's very very cold, and most of the auto stores are already closed. My parents will be here early Saturday and I'm thinking it would alright to let them deal with it. Just wondering if my car, sitting in the parking lot, would be alright to sit on that spare tire until then.

Sitting on the spare is fine. However, before you drive it, make sure the spare is properly inflated. Most people don't think about the spare tire, and so it's probably very low on air. Driving on a spare tire that has low pressure is just asking for trouble.
Inflate to proper pressure before driving.

as long as you have proper pressure in it, it should be okay. But, then again if you put the spare on, why not just drive it home? I wouldn't leave my truck or car anywhere overnight, unless I was where I could watch it, it may not be there when your parents got home...( stolen )

yeah it woul dbe fine to drive it home on the spare thats what it is for
