Help writing consumer complaint letter????
I am currently in a dispute with the finace company with whom I have a car loan. Back in Dec. they sent a letter stating they never recieved my Nov. payment. Since I had a copy of the money order stub, I wrote them a letter indicating m.o.#, date purchased and the amount, and asked that they please review their records. In the mean time I called the m.o. company to see if it was possible to get a copy. Their records indicate it was cashed on Nov. 13th. Meanwhile the finace company is hounding me for payment, as I am waiting for the copy to prove that they cashed it. So when I recieve proof of deposit, I want to send them a letter to request they update my account, remove any finance charges & credit me the $15 for the m.o. trace. I would also like them to send me proof that they have done so. So any advice on how to write an effective letter that will get results. Are they even under obligation to do so, as technically it was their error?? Help!!!
