Mysterious music and talk shows playing on my computer?

Ok, so about once a day my computer will randomly start playing weird talk shows. and it's not like you can see them.. you can only hear them. then sometimes it's songs.. but not ones i have on my computer cause theyre weird and ive never heard them before. I have tried shutting down all of my programs when this "sound" comes on and it still plays. It plays for a good 10 minutes at a time and its freaky cause its like its coming from nowhere. has this happened to anyone? and is there anyway i can get rid of it?

You may want to run a virus scan or take your computer to a local tech place, you may have a trojan virus. Trojans  (which can be accidentally downloaded through email attachments) allow other people to control your computer from their home pc. Someone else could be using your computer to watch these talk shows and listen to weird music.

There are "shows" and music in the background of many of the webpages. They are usually advertisements and they can be annoying. Yahoo has a couple like that. They can even be in pop up ads that you have the image blocked.
