How, and what site can I go to...to download Sims clothes, furniture, etc.?

Now I am not that great with computers but 3 years ago a friend of mine dowloaded furniture, clothes, etc. for me to use with my sims games. I remember that he loaded it right into the game so that when I went shopping, all the dowloaded things were right there for me to choose from. Please be as explicit as possible if you know how so I can write down the directions and follow them myself. Dont be afraid to "dumb" down the directions, lol Thanks to all

There are many sites that you can go to and they should be listed on the sims 2 website. You can just do a simple google search maybe somewhere along the lines of sims clothes or whatever you want to download. The sites should provide you with directions as to where you should place the downloaded objects. However, most of the times it's quite simple. You download the object/clothes, then if it's a zip file you just unzip it into a folder or whatnot then drag the files to the EA Games> Downloads and it should work. :) More specific directions should be available in the read me file of the downloaded object.
