I have a few friends who when they refer to something the always say these three words, I have been hearing it alot lately on some TV shows that I like to watch and at first I was getting annoyed with it, but now I just ignore it. Can somebody explain this to me?

Some languages have separate words for "this one", "that one" and "that one over there".
The expression has been around longer than me, and I'm old. It is opposed to "That one Thar". "This here barn, or that there barn", if you want to get real formal. LOL Best to ignore it, as I think the expression will continue a long time.
One of those "cutesy" phrases people use to describe a person as if their not standing right there...Example "this one here's a live wire!!!"...etc. etc.....It's really annoying and sometimes people use it to be all cute and jokingly condescending..I know..I hate when ppl use that phrase too...My ex did that...should've known ;)
