family tree maker file transfer?HELP!?

i am helping my grandmother move files from her windows 98 to her new dell that has windows vista. she has family tree maker on both computers and all she wants me to move are those files. i know how to upload the files on to the internet so i can download them on the computer, but the windows98 saves them as FBC and that is a backup for a disc oprtating system, and i need to know how to change that to a FBW (file backup for WINDOWS).. please help!

It would be easier to export it as a ged com

Go into file

copy/export family tree file

go into the drop down and chose ged com

save to your desk top should like like a little tree

and to import it same again - just use the import option
