certain fruits and veggies are not ok. but i know for a fact that CARROTS ARE OK! and cereal such as cheerios, kix, trix. NO CHOCOLATE! i wouldnt give the dog fruits with a lot of citruis (like kiwi, etc..) bananas are ok. green beans = OK boiled eggs i dont know about. i wouldnt... they might make her gassy or give her cramps or something. CORN=OK CUCUMBER=OK. i wouldnt give her an orange.. probably too much citrus.
*give these in moderation. my dog eats 1/4 c of plain cheerios every morning. i asked my vet and she approved (sometimes kix or trix).
Maybe with puppies there may be some restrictions but with my two adult beagles we have not had any problems with fresh foods.
My dogs get fresh fruit and vegetables all the time. Never seems to bother them unless we give them too much of something that has high fiber content. We give them both cooked and un-cooked vegatbles. Hard boiled eggs shell and all. And have even started doing a raw diet, chicken or turkey necks, ground turkey. Plenty of info on the net about raw diet.
The stuff that goes into most dog food is junk and bad for your dog.
We even stopped buying dog biscuits and now use baby carrot sticks instead.
I would stay away from anything that contains corn or wheat products. I have read that neither of those are good for dogs.
Like something decent like Orijen or Bil-Jac. If you can't find that, at least get IAMS Puppy food.
As for an egg, if you chop it up, you can feed your puppy some of it. Unless your puppy is a Great Dane or St. Bernard or some large dog, don't feed it the entire egg. A bit of yolk and white would be fine.
Don't feed your dog citrus fruit or corn or cucumbers. Puppies have sensitive digestive tracts and they are just starting out. So don't do anything as stupid and idiotic as trying to feed people food to a puppy. Dogs don't digest corn and you could possibly harm the dog if you feed it corn.
USE YOUR COMMON sense, if you have any. Otherwise, feed the dog puppy food. If you you don't see the reason in that, you don't need a dog.
A boiled egg every week would be great for her - not much more than that though. Oranges are too acidic, if your dog likes cucumbers, she could have a bite or 2. Corn is too hard for dogs to digest, don't give her that. That's why you shouldn't feed a dog food with any kind of corn in it. Instead try offering her carrots or green beans, or squash.
The egg yolk contains cholesterol and the mayo is mostly fat. Salt isn't good for you either. 1 Egg = 213 mg of cholesterol American Heart Association suggests eating less than 200 mg of cholesterol per day because the liver also produces cholesterol. I would say 7 eggs in one day is excessive and not healthy.
