where did people in the pacific northwest access salt if living inland?

Was salt mined by aboriginal peoples in northern Washington state or the Fraser Valley in BC and if so where? Have heard Stolo peoples found salt on Mt. Cheam on Can/US border.

Salt deposits are quite common and easily accessed across North America. Aboriginal people were very intelligent as too watching animals and following what they did. Animals find salt deposits and use them, the Indians watched the animals and used the same deposits.
