2004 Toyota Corolla check engine light is on but car is running fine, anyone know why?

My '04 Corolla has 54,002 miles on it and the check engine light came on this morning when I started it, and it has stayed on. It is running fine and all fluids are full. It's not making any strange noises and has no performance problems. Does anyone have any idea why the light is on?

there are over 60 sensors with hundreds of combinations
turn the key on off 3 times ending with it on in 10 seconds and you will get the codes on your odometer and you can check on the internet for the meaning at a car site

Your engine threw a code that usually an auto parts store will read for you for free. My guess would be that you are in need of an oxygen sensor(s). good luck

Take it into the shop. The light is there for a reason...to let you know something is wrong when you might not see it.
