I don't usually carry a cell phone but on the rare occasions when I do, I have it on vibrate and keep it in my pants pocket.

i would never hear it if i did. i keep mine in my purse. (half the time i don't hear it ring in there either)
i won't comment on how long it would have to vibrate to do any good or how hard it would be to walk around with it in the place it would need to be.
