Hotel Recommendations in Munich?

My daughter is currently serving in Iraq and they are allowing her to go to Munich in June to take the LSATs at the University there. I am going to meet her there. I am trying to find a nice hotel, comfortable, clean, wireless internet, near the University, with European charm.

Does anyone know of a hotel that fits this criterion?

Thanks in advance!

I have done numerous internet searches and am confused by the choices. That is why I am asking here to see if anyone knows Munich or has personal experience.

Thank you!

That is good information. I didn't know that the building were spread out all over. I am sure she knows where she has to go, so I will find out and add the info here. I understand the public transportation system is quite good, so maybe it doesn't matter if we are right by the actual building. I just want a good hotel, with the amenities I mentioned in my original question. Thanks!

All of the answers so far have been helpful in different ways. I had no idea the campus was so spread out. I did look on the University's site, but they offered no recommendations. Hotel Kempinski looks wonderful, but she want to be near to the testing facility.

Her LSAT is going to be given at Amerika House, Karolinenpl. 3, Munich. There are three hotels nearby - Erzgiesserei Europe , Hotel Amba and Hotel Pension Am Siegestor.
It looks like the first two offer internet. If anyone has experience with any of those or knows of another hotel that in that general area with the amenities I described, please let me know.

Thanks go all!

Hi, I don't know Munich that well, but I know they have at least two major universities, both of which have not one central campus, but have buildings all over the city; in addition, there is a university of the German military there.

So, if "near the University" is important to you, try to establish which location exactly you need to be near, so that people can help you better....

My daughter & I stayed at the Hotel Kempinski adjacent to the Munich airport. The train system runs from the main terminal of the airport and is very convenient. This is a 5-star hotel and is worth every penny because of the amenities and location to the airport and train station. Go online to their website and check it out. You won't be disappointed. Good luck with your daughter and her college career. Germany is beautiful...what an opportunity for her!

The university should be able to help her find accommodation...try their website.
