It will probably last as long, but the resale value will be lower than the Harley.

Harley's aren't really built for performance. A better question would be does Victory have the same quality, dependability, resale and comfort. My guess is yes to everything but resale which is why I decided not to buy one myself. I do think they make a good looking bike and it would be a good alternative to a Harley. I was concerned with the resale issues though.

Personally I hope Victory does well and really hoping Indian does well again now that they are reopening. I have a Honda VTX 1300 now made in Ohio which I will have for at least 3 more years and am REALLY hoping Indian is going to put out a quality bike because that will be my next one if it is. I just think Harley is so deeply protected in the press, I have heard Victory is a much more truly American owned than Harley as far as parts and assembly and I have heard they are better from 2 people I know who have owned both brands, but 2 people really isn't enough to make a fair judgment

Cruiser Magazine just did an article on Victory Motorcycles for Touring models and gave it pretty good reviews, Second to a Goldwing and Harley was third , All three of those bikes are built for luxury . Victory as well as just about every bike these days are pretty well built. There will be Lemons in every crowd

Victory is by far a better built motorcycle for riding than Harley.
The Harley will have a better resale value than the Victory.
Victory will out preform Harley on any given day.
Harley you are paying for the name.
Victory you are paying for the bike.
