Im 15 years old, 5'11 and i play alot of basketball. I really want to get into the nba and am i good enough?
I play in a gym 4 days a week for an hour and a half and play at the park all the other days. I play in a league and i average 30 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks a game. I am only 5'11 but my dad is 6'2 and i wanna kno if im good enough to get into the nba and if i will grow any more? I have a great jumpshot, 3 point shot and drive in. I am goin to be a sophmore in hs next year and im goin to try out for the team and hopefully make it. The only problem is i dont have the best ball handling skills but i am gunna work on it allll summer non stop and i only have a 20 inch vertical jump. Any tips? What are my chances of getting into the nba or even a division 1 college team like duke or UCLA.

DON'T FORGET TO FINISH YOUR STUDIES FIRST.
THEN ONCE YOU'RE DONE STUDYING, AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO PURSUE AN NBA CAREER, DISCIPLINE IS THE KEY! WORK HARD, PLAY HARD FOR IT PASSION AND LOVE FOR THE GAME OF BASKETBALL THAT WILL BRING YOU TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.
DON'T PLAY FOR THE MONEY!!! IF THAT IS YOUR GOAL, YOU WONT SUCCEED! GOODLUCK, BOY!
56 player a year are drafted into the NBA of those 56 on average 20 make a team roster. of the 20 who make a team roster 15 are active by season end. So put that in perspective. There are about 450 players currently active in the NBA today. The odds are stacked against you. I'm not saying you can't make it, I'm just saying you have a lot of work ahead of you. If you don't make it as a player from a top college your chances will be even tougher. If your already a sophomore and the NBA doesn't know your name, your not a top prospect. Top prospect are in basketball camps in JRHS and the NBA "unofficially scouts them when they are freshmen, right along side the college scouts. Who do you think pays for the shoe contracts for kids who have to wear size 14 and up in sports? You can still make your mark in the sport but you need to work hard, but don't neglect your studies. You will need to go to a school that will get you noticed by the NBA scouts. Even if your not as talented get to a school who has a coach that will get you a sound set of fundamental skills. That will go a long way with the scouts. That's about all I can say to you on the subject other than good luck.
u probably will grow about 1-3 inches more or up 2 5 inches if u get a growth spurt. 5"11" isnt small especially for a 15 year old just keep playing ur hard out depending on ur school proabbly go to college basketball and who knows u might be the next oj mayo
****, I'm wondering if I want to be a college coach now! If I were one, I'd freaking recruit you like crazy! Come to my school for ball! Please!
Haha...You're a great player, and I'm figuring you'd make a great guard or forward, depending how much more you grow in the next few years. Play high school basketball if you're not doing that yet. Then, college scouts will write you love letters. Also, focus on your STUDIES. That way, college recruiters will see you're also great in the classroom, and you're able to think on the court.
You are gonna have to get a lot better. Make sure to play on your high school team and be a starter. In the Spring play aau. And make sure that you have a good weight, height is good and all but you don't want to be very skinny. When you play for your school just make sure to score a lot of points and you'll most likely get a scholarship to a school.
