I'm doing a research paper on whether or not Belly dancing(aka by many other names) is not a form of sex trade. But many think that it is, so I want your opinion. Is it or is it not? Thank you in advance. Also, please state why you believe it is or isnt. I will respect your answer.

No belly dancing is not sexual. it was a dance to honor the pagan practice of Goddess worship. Nor a form of sex trade.
I don't believe it isn't due to the fact, that it is still being practiced to this day, if it were it would have been banned a long time ago.
The stigma of it being sexual, was attached by men who did not understand, its significance from earlier times.

It's a great way to stay in shape. I took belly dancing lessons and it didn't compell me to trade sex, so I guess in my opinion , no to the sex trade thing

My mom was a belly dance instructor for many years. She taught classed that, believe it or not, mostly consisted of middle-age, overweight women.
Belly dancing has nothing to do with sex.
