i dont know how to find and replace this watch battery. ITs a really old self-wind Timex. it might be a Timex Crosshatched Viscount. but its got this spiny metal thing.

If it's selfwind, you don't need a battery. If it is battery operated, a jeweler will know what kind of battery you need, by looking at the one that is in it.

But, if it's a selfwind, and is not working--a jeweler can tell you whether or not it's worth repairing or just replace it.

If it is a selfwind, sometimes holding it in your hand and waving your hand will be enough to get the autowind counter weight mechanism to rotate inside and put tension on the mainspring. If it has a sweep second hand, watch it to see if it begins to move. It may be that the watch is not working because it needs to be wound.

A self wind watch of any make does not have a battery.
