I was wondering how much it is to get sugar gliders 'fixed' and how dangerous it is for them?

The price will completely depend upon your vet - but regardless of price, make sure you go to a vet you trust and has some experience neutering small animals.

I have 3 boys I've had fixed. My vet was FANTASTIC, and she charged $75 each. I've heard the price go up to $300 in some areas though.

It can be quite dangerous, for two main reasons.

#1, any and all creatures have different reactions to anesthesia. Small animals are espcially prone to having trouble with this, which is another reason why it pays to have an experienced small animal vet.

#2, Sugar gliders are known for their ability to hide any illness or pain until it's too late, and they are also known to self-mutilate when in pain. I actually dealt with this myself, my boy Botch (probably with the help of his dad and brother) tore open his incision and... well, it was graphic. I thought I was going to lose him, but again I had a fantastic vet who was able to help right away. There are ways to avoid what happened to me - the right pain meds will keep them pain free (he was on the right dose) and an e-collar will prevent the self mutilation. I didn't make an e-collar in advance, so I had to scramble to get all the stuff together at 10pm after the vet visit...

I'd say most neuteres go off without a hitch, but I can say from experience, better safe than sorry :). I'm VERY happy I had all my boys fixed, since now they can all 3 live together along with my girl Julz as a mellow happy colony. I hope this helps!

My sister got hers neutered, I think it was a couple hundred bucks, he recovered just fine.
