A mention of HS kids in the movie RV has me wondering what other movies there are featuring homeschooled or home educated children. There are old ones like Mary Poppins and The Railway Children where it's not explicitly mentioned but it's obvious that the children don't go to school. What more modern ones are there?

The name escapes me right now, but there is a Nickelodeon cartoon with a related movie. The family consists of mom and dad, who film documentaries about animals, and the middle child-a daughter who can talk to animals (unknown to anyone else). She has a teenaged sister, a wild younger brother and a pet monkey. Anyway, the children in that are apparently home educated, though it is never mentioned-I suppose they unschool.
Homeschooling is mentioned in Horton Hears a Who (the kangaroo "Pouch Schools" her joey, and apparently the comparison to homeschooling is not a favorable one).

That move bugs me so much! We have a camper and travel alot...and everyone assumes my kids are a obnoxious as the ones in that movie!
Popstar is about a homeschooled kid who is a popstar. Also, I have seen Wife Swap had a homeschool family (although that made them look a little strange)
There also was a South Park episode with a homeschool family. It was pretty bad. The kids were both super-smart kids with no social skills.

I don't know about homeschool mentions, but the boy in Night at the Museum (Jake Cherry) is homeschooled in NJ !

In the movie "A River Runs Through It" the father home schooled both his sons.
