Is there a way to hear music clips on iTunes before I purchase?

I find the iTunes music store just annoying to navigate and using their help pages is worthless.  Do I seriously have to go to Amazon to listen to clips before I purchase them from iTunes??!  I beginning to think that the iPod was not the greatest investment for entertainment.

wen u go to the itunes store each song gives u like 30 second clips wen u double click on it
before clicking to buy now :]

Click and it will play a few seconds of it. I have done it this way without ever having to use Amazon in regard to this.
